This Collection comprises the files and working papers of Robert H. Wallace (Bob), a member of the Inquiry Committee. The Lemonthyme and Southern Forests areas of Tasmania were placed on the Register of the National Estate in 1983. The Commission investigated the conflicting environmental and industrial claims over these areas. The Commission determined which areas qualified as world heritage areas. The Committee of Inquiry members were: M.M. Helsham (Presiding member), R.H. Wallace and P.P. Hitchcock.
